Lunatic Fling
The short version
Lunatic Fling collects no personal information. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your settings, scores and progress stay on your device. Game Center leaderboards and in-app purchases are run by Apple, under Apple's privacy policy, and we never see your payment details. We don't sell or share anything, because we don't have anything.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Axiomic, LLC ("Axiomic", "we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Lunatic Fling app for iPhone and iPad (the "App") and the website at lunaticfling.com (the "Site"; together, the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Use. We designed Lunatic Fling to collect nothing.
2. Definitions
"Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular person or household, such as a name, email address, device identifier, location or photo.
3. What Personal Information we collect
None. The App has no accounts or sign-in of its own, shows no advertising, and contains no analytics, tracking, advertising or social software, from us or from anyone else. It does not send information to any server of ours; we don't operate one. It does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or other device data. That's why the App's App Store listing says Data Not Collected.
The one exception is when you choose to write to us. If you email marc@axiomic.ai, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to answer you. We keep the conversation only as long as we need it, and we'll delete it on request.
4. What stays on your device
To remember your game, the App keeps a small record on your device, in the App's own local storage: your settings (touch controls, music, effects, screen shake, haptics and audio mixing), which tips you've already seen, your best score, your local scoreboards and the initials you enter for them, and whether you've used today's scored daily attempt. It does not identify you, and it never leaves your device, except as part of the device backups you choose to make with Apple, and except as described in Section 5.
When you share a daily result, the App hands the result text to the iOS share sheet, and it goes only where you choose to send it.
5. Game Center
Game Center is Apple's service, and the App uses it only for leaderboards. If you're signed in to Game Center and have the Pilot's License (Section 6), the App submits your scores to Apple's global leaderboards, daily and all-time, where they appear with your Game Center nickname and can be seen by other players. Apple handles this under its own privacy policy and your Game Center settings; we don't receive your Apple Account details. You can sign out of Game Center, or change your nickname and privacy settings, in your device's Settings under Game Center. If you aren't signed in, the App keeps scores only on your device.
6. Purchases
The App offers one optional in-app purchase, the Pilot's License. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, Apple Account, or payment information. Apple tells the App only whether the purchase has been made, so its features can unlock and Restore Purchases can work. Apple provides us sales reports that do not identify you.
7. Information Apple may share with us
If you choose, in your device's settings, to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated usage statistics about the App that do not identify you. We use them only to fix bugs and improve the App. You can turn this off in Settings under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.
8. When we share Personal Information
We don't have Personal Information to share. We do not sell or share Personal Information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we never will.
9. Security and data retention
Because we collect no Personal Information, we store none and retain none. Your game record is protected by your device's own security. This Site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom under the GDPR, you may have the right to know what Personal Information is collected about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't collect, sell or share Personal Information, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete, and nothing to opt out of.
To erase everything the App keeps on your device, delete the App. Your Pilot's License stays with your Apple Account and can be restored later. Scores already on Game Center leaderboards are managed by Apple through your Game Center settings. If you believe we hold information about you, write to marc@axiomic.ai and we will respond.
11. International users
Axiomic is based in the United States. Because the Service collects no Personal Information, it does not transfer Personal Information across borders.
12. Children's privacy
Lunatic Fling is made for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13 and is not in the App Store's Kids category. The App collects no Personal Information from anyone, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from any child under 13 (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, "COPPA", applies to such collection). If you believe a child under 13 has given us Personal Information, for example by emailing us, write to marc@axiomic.ai and we will delete it.
13. This website
The Site uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and loads nothing from third parties (even its fonts are served from the Site itself). Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, for a short time to operate and secure the Site. We don't use them to identify anyone.
14. Third-party services and links
The App and the Site refer to Apple services such as the App Store, Game Center and in-app purchases, which are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one. If you share a daily result to another app or service, that app or service's own privacy policy applies to what you share.
15. Do Not Track
Because the Service does not track you across other sites or apps, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to change.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we'll give notice in the App or on the Site before they take effect. If a change would ever mean collecting Personal Information, we will say so clearly and ask first.
